Our FirEver Christmas Tree Journey
Welcome to our little pocket of South Gippsland's rolling hills, where FirEver Christmas trees come to life. It’s here that we (Matt and Em) sow and grow. Sometimes our two children help. Sometimes they don’t.
The FirEver idea began on our porch in 2018 with a simple, happy thought: What if we could grow a unique, beautiful Christmas tree in a pot? And if this tree was in a pot it would never need to be chopped down and could do Christmas over and over again.
So we began.
We chose to grow Douglas Firs because they are simply a beautiful tree, both to look at and to touch. The Douglas Fir is a popular Christmas tree in the Northern Hemisphere is growing in popularity in Australia. As luck would have they grow extremely well in the South Gippsland climate.
We’ve had many a challenge over the years, but it feels right doing this. We still love the idea that our trees can be part of an ongoing Christmas story.
The other cool part is that when the trees have outgrown their pots, and we’ve outgrown lifting them, they retire FirEver style to the earth planted in a FirEver Forest.
One Tree. Many Christmases

We are hands-on with every single tree, making sure each potted FirEver Christmas tree gets the ongoing TLC it deserves.
While planting them into the amazing South Gippsland soil would speed up their growth, we know that if we did that, there’d be no way to get them to your house for Christmas without cutting them down. So we don’t.
A FirEver Christmas tree is Alive! It will always have its roots intact and with a little assistance, continue to thrive long after the festive season has passed
