Sustainability

At FirEver Christmas Trees, we try to make Christmas a little greener, one tree at a time. Whether you rent or buy a living potted tree from us, it’s not just a decoration — it’s a special tree that keeps on living.
Between Christmases, our trees keep growing, and our nursery has become a lively little ecosystem. We repot and nurture them, and they keep doing their part, taking in carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. Being pot-grown lets us give just the right amount of fertiliser and care without wasting anything.
When you choose a FirEver Christmas Tree, you’re supporting a local family business. You’ll always know your tree’s backstory and its journey — keeping its carbon footprint small. And we take care of the tricky stuff — delivery and collection — so you can enjoy a real, living Christmas tree with minimal hassle.
To keep tree travel low, our delivery areas are limited. We work with a number of specially selected retailers for pickup and returns if you choose to rent. Subject to retailer.

Why Rent a Tree?
Why Rent a Christmas Tree?
Renting a living Christmas tree is a simple idea with a lot of benefits: “One Tree. Many Christmases.”
A rented tree comes back to our nursery each year for more care and growth:
-
Sustained Growth: Your tree doesn’t end its journey after one Christmas.
-
Roots and Nutrition: Each tree is checked regularly and gets the right mix of nutrients, water, and fresh potting mix.
-
Pruning and Shaping: Pruning and shaping continue throughout the year, keeping your tree in shape.
-
Size Adaptation: Depending on its growth cycle, your tree moves up to the next pot size, accommodating its development.
-
Expert Care: We keep an eye on water, pests, and diseases all year.
-
Retirement: When it's time to retire from its Christmas duties, your tree finds a new life planted in South Gippsland's fertile soil.
Why a FirEver Tree Rental Works
-
Tree Reliability: Potted plants or trees sometimes get unintentionally neglected
— too much sun, too little water…. life happens. Renting lets us make sure your tree thrives. -
Preserving that “Christmas Feeling”: While it can be nice to have your tree year-round, it can take away some of that special Christmas magic. Renting lets us care for your tree during the year while keeping things fresh and exciting every December.
